[ Here we are! Chilling in a park. Rin is once again obsessively scrolling through the profiles and frowning. ]

What the hell is "Team BDSM" supposed to mean...?

[ assigns jonas as being on top of the slide and staring down at rin, also looking at his phone. just two dudes, wondering what the fuck. ]

Kind of feels like asking that question is a slippery slope, man. [ but hm.] As much as I hate to say it, seems like they're the first of us to get everything together.

[ which sure is saying something. ]

[ he doesn't want to know, but he kind of wants to know. ]

... They teamed up with that Rang guy. I guess they're playing to win.

[ rin does not want to know... ]

Yeah. After yesterday...I dunno. Maybe he's serious, or maybe it was a flex to make sure other people stay clear of their team. Like...you know, a pufferfish? Making itself bigger to look scarier. Did you get a chance to talk to him at all?

[ a pause. ]

Actually...where are you with your team stuff?

[damp]

I've spoken to him... He actually tried to save my life? [ ??? ] But then he asked me to give him a weapon.

Oh. I ended up partnering up with Haru after all—he's the guy I know from home. He said he had some ideas but... he's not the most trustworthy with this kind of thing. [ SIGHS ] What about you?

[ visibly going ??? to ???? real quick here. ]

What, like as payment? What would you have even given him, it's not like most of us have weapons.

[ that aside...oh. he blinks a little like he's just making a connection. ]

Yeah, I met him. He seemed a little confused about what he was doing the first day but...glad to hear you two are sticking together. At least you can keep an eye on his ideas. [ whatever they may be. ] Alex and I are going with Setsu and Kazuki. Those two had already agreed to partner, and we kind of thought we'd be a good fit for each other. It...kind of sucks all four of us have the same psych, but we'll figure something out.

[damp]

[ He nods. That makes sense to him. ]

I've met them. Setsu seems calm under pressure and Kazuki must be pretty clever too with what he was doing back in Tokyo. [ Hmmm. ] That's a good point about psychs though... It sucks, but it's less important than ending up with a psycho.

[ He sighs, leaning back against the slide. ]

But yeah, I don't know. He seems like the type of guy that hates everyone.

[ you didn't answer where rin was so you're getting a text until further notice ok thank you. ]

[ anyway. somebody's dead and jonas is at least passingly aware that rin is an extremely normal person. this is why he's getting a text a little later after the announcement. ]

we didn't even realize the doors were locked until i tried going out for something

i was in mcdonald's with hikari's team
the doors were locked too
i don't understand how he ended up on a blimp

but good to know. we were wondering if the shops locked too or just the warehouses
...i mean that makes you wonder a lot of things but whatever
do you mean he was like. actually ON the blimp itself?

i'm not sure, i couldn't message them once we were locked in

and... i don't know. we found a blimp crash this morning, and signs of a fight near by. maybe they just brought it down while they were fighting

week 1, monday, outer park

[ They're in the big park! Which Rin seems pretty happy about. ]

It's going to be a lot nicer going for runs here than around the city trying to dodge cars.

[ so many people seem to like nature, and jonas is here admiring the scenery for what it is. being a good person. not being gross and stinking up the clean air with cigarette smoke. except rin says that and there's a slightly incredulous laugh. ]

Wait, is that what you've been doing since we got here?

[damp]

[ Jonas... ]

Yeah, running on a treadmill is kind of dull. We're already stuck in the gym when we use the other machines, might as well get some fresh air.

[ He says "we", meaning Jonas and himself. ]

[ DON'T DRAG HIM INTO YOUR FITNESS REGIME noooooo. he actually looks like he does not think he is included in this "we" and that rin means a totally different "we." ]

I mean I've never really been a fan of being stuck in one place, so I can't disagree with that. Not that I use machines a lot since outside is better but...I get your point. Guess I'm just surprised you're keeping up with something like that while we're here.

[ just looks at him? ]

[ hm. he does not think saying "because we're dead?" is a great idea. ]

...dunno. Just...I don't know a ton of people who stick to a routine. That's all.

week 7, monday

So. You guys have been busy?

[westedge]

[ hi rin. ]

Busy is...definitely a word for it. How much have you actually been able to see? Nahida gave me an idea but I wasn't sure if it's always been that way.

[damp]

Uh, a lot. Basically the screens can see everywhere except the warehouses. But there's a lot of locations, so we couldn't see everywhere at once.

We never saw anything on Thursdays either.

[westedge]

Screens like...TV? You can just tune in and watch whatever you want when we're out and doing stuff? [ that's so wild to him. ] To be honest with you? It's probably better you didn't see half the stuff that happened on Thursdays. It's been a mess.

[damp]

We can't control them but... basically, yeah.

[ he scratches his head, grimacing. ]

And yeah... Thursdays seem like they've been. Busy. If nothing else.

Okay no offense but that's kind of creepy. I mean I know it's not on purpose and you have nothing to do with it and I'm glad you were able to kind of keep an eye on Haru that way but the idea of being watched is a little insane.
