Attempting to make a connection with someone that I was fond of, though by our very nature, we were diametrically opposed. I wasn't made for it, I was made for one purpose, and it was not that, so I failed.

No. But it is difficult at times, especially for me due to my circumstances. People view you differently than you view yourself and you can't know what they really think. Misunderstandings happen.

It must be frustrating feeling like no one can understand the things you do.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm so far behind and apart from everyone else that I'll never catch up.

I feel like that all the time. Especially here. Everyone's so... used to fighting and life threatening situations, I never know how to make connections.

Really? It seems like you get along well with everyone despite that. It seemed natural.

It'd be nice if I did. [ He shrugs. ] But I think a lot of people here just see me as a fish out of water. A kid that gets too emotional and worked up.

And... like you said before. A burden to look after.

...I suppose it's hard. We're all so different and just trying to get by. Get along. It doesn't matter if our worlds are filled with chaos and strife or not because 's not like we're chosen because we would be good at this. We just got stuck here.
