I don't want to entertain the idea that my whole life had been rewritten to cover up some stint where I died and went to Heaven only for a murder spree.
Yeah, it's pretty strange. [ Briefly gazes into the void.
... But anyway! Tries to give Jacopo a sympathetic smile. ]
Whatever the reason is, I doubt they're going to just let you go so... Sorry that you're stuck here. If you want to know anything about how this went for the rest of us the first time around, I'll try to fill you in.
[ He's trying to figure out what to say to that. Should he apologize? What does apologizing do? ]
... At least we aren't alone here. If you have friends among us, then it'll make getting through all of this easier.
[ It feels like he said a whole lot of nothing, but he tried. ]
It's not fine, but what can I do. I would appreciate to hear your account, if it doesn't bother you. Murder... Games do not sound pleasant and I have nothing to return.
Yeah. Where I was last time... Apparently everyone there was dead, and we had to participate in something called the Reaper's Game. We had to form teams and earn points, and whichever team got the most points would be brought back to life.
There were a lot of different ways to get points, but killing other people earned the most. [ Grip tightening on his Americano... But not enough to crush the cup. ] So every Thursday night, at least one person would be killed. On Saturday, we'd investigate the murders and vote for a killer. On Sunday, the person voted for would be executed.
Also on Thursdays, people would get whisked away into... pocket dimensions? And usually come back on the verge of death.
As he listens to this, he sips his coffee every once in a while because wow. This... Sounds so awful. Rin is just nineteen? Sure. That's an adult, but no one deserves this. ]
Kill to revive...? That's just a bloody cycle. [ Another apology rests on his tongue, but... ] In the end, it worked out fine?
... Even if overall the end result is good in the grand scheme of things, people will always get hurt along the way if there are sacrifices to be made.
[ It's... Unfortunate, he thinks. There's no remedy aside from reaching an understanding. ]
But that isn't something you can say to people who are hurting. [ ... ] Of course I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.
[ He's just trying to be a good conversation partner. ]

[ THANK YOU, but now he's like. Huh... Things to ask the NPCs later. ]
Do you know another Jonas?

I do, yeah. I actually know different versions of three people here. So there's definitely a lot of alternate timeline stuff happening.

Rin really is saying a bunch of things. ]
... Three is quite a lot.

I appreciate you saying that. [ Shakes his head. ] Anyway, that's the general rhythm that a lot of us experienced.
I don't know if it'll be the same this time around or if they'll try to surprise us, but at least you can know as much as the rest of us.
