[ we're at the hiking trail!

kate's already partway down the trail but she's not very fast, rin will probably catch up with her without even trying. she stops to admire the butterflies...

until one suddenly lands on her nose and she jumps back with a muted yelp, flailing her arms in a panic. ]

Whoa!

[ Skips to catch up to her and put a hand on her back in case she loses balance. ]

What happened?

[ he can steady her! the butterfly flies away. ]

It flew right into my face... That startled me.

You must've been pretty still for it to do that.

[ Let's her stand and watches the butterflies. ]

This place really is beautiful though.

[ wondering if she looks like a tree... ]

... It is. I was really hoping we'd get a space like this.

Tired of being inside? [ technically it's still inside ] I think we're all getting a little claustrophobic.

Yes...

We have a nice flower garden at the manor I live in, too. It's one of my favourite places to go, to get away from the stuffiness of everyday life.

[ there's a pause... but she gives a little nod. ]

Sounds like it can get pretty suffocating.

It does. We're not allowed to leave the house under any circumstances, not allowed to speak to anyone outside of the children's wing, and all of our activities are monitored and recorded.
