It's not like I want to do something completely unheard of. But ice skating is pretty harmless.

And the payoff's that we get to hang out.

Teammates are supposed to stick together. Plus we're living together, so might as well get along.

What were they like?

A bunch of antisocial freaks. We barely interacted with each other. For like a month and a half I was the only one living in our dorm.

Didn't you have to work together for things though?

Not really. And most of our team died early on anyway.

Oh. That sucks.

What were you competing for anyway?

The opportunity to get out of that world and not be stuck there. Or worse, stuck there with our memories wiped.

But you all got out in the end, right?

Yes, but not by winning the game. We just broke it entirely.

By beating a boss...?

The boss. The one who set up the twisted game to begin with. We beat him to a pulp, took his reality-altering book, and from there the game and its rules stopped mattering at all. We could write in whatever we wanted.
