What was it like at the school? Do you have to earn school credits to escape?

So you can get through this, no problem!

Nah, we had to literally fight the story. It got kinda meta.... but I'm used to that. [ if she?? ] When there weren't murders happening, it wasn't so bad. We could take classes, but the classes were all sorts of things. Not real classes, stuff like.... writing fanfiction, or making paper airplanes. Things like that.

You had to fight the story...?

[ Blinks rapidly. ]

How did you do that?

Well, we started off by rebelling against our roles... then we ended up using a plot hole... then, we started writing it and gaining back control over it, finishing it. Which is what it wanted.. to be finished.

And some people manifested it into a person so they could... take revenge.

[ she seems pretty put out about that last bit ]

[ He doesn't really know how to visualize this so he's just imagining them fighting a book. ]

How'd you realize you were in a story in the first place?

[ exactly what happened ]

Well, I had an advantage, since it was the second time I got trapped in a messed up story... but basically, things weren't adding up. And we found clues and stuff, too, after Thursday adventures.

Oh, you had the Thursday adventures too? And people coming back from the dead?

Yep. Weird things to have in common, right?

How about you? How did yours go?

It was the same. Weird new affect on Monday, weird alternate dimension adventures on Thursday, lockdown and murder Thursday night. Trial on Saturday, and execution on Sunday.

What about the "gimmick"? Mine was a storybook school, yours was...?

Yeah, they didn't really make any pretences about it not being a murder game.

That sucks. I was hoping there'd be an upside.... like fun things on Wednesdays or something.

I wouldn't call them fun... We did have to do challenges.

Or at least, the living did.

I don't come from a place with magic, or fighting, or... life threatening situations. I never expected to live long among people much stronger than me.

... It doesn't mean you can't survive. I did, even though I'm kiiiinda in the same boat. Aside from life-threatening situations.
