... at least the last time he died, I got to talk to him before he left. And at least this time, he was more than just a head. We found his culprit last time and it was someone I cared about way too much, and we voted wrong this time because we ran out of options. It's hard to say which case turned out "better."

Yeah, he and I have talked about this a few times both as Gabriel, God, and myself. [ god. ] Voting's rigged at this point anyway. I think... it sucks to vote wrong because we run the risk of not having an answer. But knowing they're all going to the same place makes it slightly less terrible and all the more pointless.
